About the Author
Lynda Zussman, teacher, educator and writer, wrote two screenplays in the 90's, "Panic" and "Papa Rose." As a Special Education educator to children and young adults, she guided others by studying and developing her own spirituality. Nothing prepared her for the death of her 26-year-old daughter, but by writing "Throw Me the Rope" she has embraced courage, hope, and faith through her daughter's life lessons and spiritual growth. Zussman lives in Newport Beach, Califonia with her husband and dogs, Lexi and Cowboy.

A must-read for anyone who embraces the human spirit

Lauren Zussman was a stunningly beautiful young woman, a Ford model in Manhattan, and eight years sober when she suddenly collapsed and died while running in Central Park on Memorial Day, 2008.
I met her mother, Lynda Zussman, at an event where I spoke about the power of independent publishing and the focus of New York publishers on a book's marketing plan, not its contents.
Lynda had written a manuscript about Lauren's life and shocking passing, which I read and found incredibly powerful, upsetting, and ultimately uplifting.
I urged Lynda to ignore the foolhardiness of the New York publishers and bring the book out herself.
It's never been easier to do so, thanks to evolving print-on-demand options like Amazon's CreateSpace and Kindle Direct.
Lynda did so, and the book has become a word-of-mouth best seller in the recovery community around the world.
Lauren's story has inspired tens of thousands of people and teaches us the meaning of love and the fragility of life.
I strongly recommend it.

THROW ME THE ROPE IS A WELL-WRITTEN, ENDEARING, INSPIRING, SOMETIMES FUNNY BOOK. IT IS ALSO VERY ENLIGHTENING FOR AN-ANOL AND AA PEOPLE AS WELL AS ANYONE WHO HAS LOST SOMEONE DEAR. LAUREN'S TRANSFORMATION AND SPIRIT SHINES THROUGH AND PAINTS A REAL PICTURE ABOUT RECOVERY, HOPE, COURAGE, AND HEALING.

Touching story...

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a very touching, sad, yet inspiration book all wrapped up in one.
